Happy to report that the dual speed+cadence Duotrap sensor works very well with my Samsung S7 (android 6.0.1). Auto connect is very fast. No clashes with my Polar HR monitor that I have experienced with my Wahoo dual sensor.

The Trek duotrap is a very neat and tidy device. Built in to the chain stay.

I would prefer BLE over ANT+, since it has a more sophisticated reconnect mechanism.

You can only connect either BLE or ANT+ devices, but not mixed. Power meters are not supported yet.

I have a shiny new Samsung S7 which has, apparently, ant+ hardware:

But I don't have Duotap yet (or the shiny new bike it will be attached to :), hence my question.

So, given a choice, should I connect via ant+ or BLE?

Is it possible to be connect to one device via ant+ and another via BLE at the same time? Ideally, I would like to get some sort of power meter (with Left-Right pedal balance) fitted to my shiny new bike.

We didn't test the device.

Should work, though.

If you have an ANT+ enabled phone, it should be working both ways (ANT+ or BLE).

Does Run.gps support Trek/Bontranger's DuoTrap Ant+/BLE?
