I installed the old release, 2.1.0 b757 but you were right, it did not help, the gps is still not on track and the weather was okay today, see my run from today: http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/running_13147
I will try to completly uninstall rungps, reset, clear remainds and reinstall the latest version. I don't know what else to do, is there some debugging which I could enable to see why suddenly the gps is not on track anymore?
today we had blue sky and sunshine, no cloudy weather at all when I tried it. but I will give it another shot again, it's just strange as it was working so nice before and up until 24. Feb, you can see that in my training history and I would really like to try the older build again.
it is very probable that this issue does not have to do with the new release. Why? The GPS coordinates are not influenced by the software. A different reason is likely: maybe a bad satellite constellation or bad weather conditions. Can I ask you to give it another try?
completly reinstalled rungps latest version together with .net
still the same with the gps, I went for running my route on the canal today, this is the bad result> http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/running_12919 with build 2.1.2 809, compared to the good result here> http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/sausages_11765 on the 24.Feb (cant remember the full build, but it was the latest one on 24.Feb) it does not look good at all, the gps is not on track (no matter if .net or com based) with the latest builds.
Could I ask for a download of the build which was latest on 24.Feb. please? So that I could at least use an older version.
I enabled the .net com setting and it actually looked as it was working great, but after the running I noticed that the gps signal is not on my route as you can see in my last training.
It was looking good during the training, it had 4-8 sats and dilution of 4 and always had good gps signal but as soon as i uploaded the training I realized the gps tracking to be way off route.
please try the .NET COM port setting and reconnect.
Some background: we now have three ways to get the GPS connected:
- managed GPS (should always be preferred if it works)
- COM port with .NET implementation (this is the same as it has been in 2.1.1 but you have to activate it by clicking '.Net COM port')
- COM port with Run.GPS implementation (this is new since 2.1.2 and required for instance for MDA Compact III with WM6 because the .NET COM port slows down the PDA so much you can't work with it anymore)
configured rungps manually with com2 and baud 4800, this was working fine before upgrading to build 803, but since then I only get No fix with a GPS dilution of 50 and a number of sats 8 (this varies).
The same settings work fine in tomtom which is simultaniously installed.
