input of username / password

when I want to enter my username / password in the program runned on my htc s730 windows mobile (without tochscreen) the problem enters only the numerik karakters. I have this with using my front keyboard as also when I slide the phone open and use that keyboard.
For example when I press the 2 I get only the 2. when i press three times, he gives me three times the two.
