Temporary solution

Go to \Storage Card\My Documents\Run.GPS\users\uv-user\user.xml

You can edit this file and replace uv-user in the password field with your Run.GPS! user ID and just below that entry, enter your password.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
- <user>
<userName>USERNAME</userName>
<password>PASSWORD</password>
<gpsiesUserName>uv-user</gpsiesUserName>
<gpsiesPassword />
<osmUserName>uv-user</osmUserName>
<osmPassword />
<crossingwaysUserName>uv-user</crossingwaysUserName>
<crossingwaysPassword />

<password>PASSWORD</password> should be on one line
do this if you have accounts at the other websites as listed in the XML file
then save the file.

This does not fix the data entry problem from the keypad or keyboard however.

Maybe it helps to turn on or off the "Alphanumeric Keyboard" setting in Main Menu > Configuration > General Settings?

This is weird! Did you try the very latest build (2.3.3 build 1701 on www.rungps.net)?

HTC S730

my HTC S730 has no possibility to correct an enter by backspace. At HTC S710 the backspace works.
Do not understand why! What mobile phone works without problems?

There are two keyboard related settings, hardware keyboard, etc. There is another forum post that says to have both checked, well that fails miserably. I don't have it in front of me, but I checked the first setting and unchecked the second. This allowed me to enter letters using the number pad. Less than ideal, but at least it worked. I don't know why these guys don't use the standard in put method specified by the phone.
