@masmica: Yes, the plausibility filters work only if a track has been recorded via GPS.

@rené: The problem with skiing tours is that you just cannot estimate the calorie consumption when going downhill. It totally depends on the snow and the difficulty of the tour. It can be between 30% and 300% of an estimated standard value. It would make sense if everyone would use heart rate sensors, but this is not the case.

sports for activity rating

i have read that so far you just added sports for which you know calorie consumption. are there any plans to expand the group of activity rate influencing sports? i would really appreciate... for me it is a pity that skiing tours is not included.

thx, br rené

masmica

Assessment of the activity does not work. Use only HXM without gps. Is this the cause?

For the activity ratings, we tried to select standard sports for which we know the calorie consumption values. The list of standard sports can be found below the activity levels on the users' hompages.

Activity Ratings doesn't work on walking!

Activity Ratings doesn't work if you just use walking activity. Is there any reason for that, or is it just a simple error?

I second that. It would be nice if an admin could explain how the activity levels are being calculated.

I completely agree!
It really pi.... me off, that I complete one training after the other and it doesn't effect my activity rating at all...

And what makes it worse, is the fact that I have no idea why...

It's high time, that Run.GPS makes the rating more transparent!!!

I have to agree with that! When you see that you have to push a litle bit more to reach a next/higher level it works motivating for me :)

Yes I second that!

Beside the fact that ordinary walking doesn't effect the activity level, there should be a system one can see how many km or kcal or whatever somebody needs to reach the next level. Motivation is the main force for activity.

Activity Ratings

Hallo liebes GPS-Sport Team,
