manual training entry not taken into account ?

Hi,

1 - for a few week my GPS device seems to be down
2 - consequently, I have to record my training using the "add manual" option
3 - when I refer to my calories consumption over a month, it is increasing
4 - despite, my Activity level still decreases

In conclusion, it seems that manual entries are not taken into account for the the activity level indicator.
Is it normal ?
Thanks
Phil

animal reset?

hi there, i have been using this software for about a year now and i have been training hard with it. i like the idea of the animals as a representation of progress, and this helps as an encouragement tool also.

today however i have noticed that i have gone from being halfway through a cat back to a shell at 0.0. is this ment to happen? im gutted to say the least.

**Update**

i am now a cat again, must have been a glitch of some kind, weired.

Decreasing Activiti Level over time

Hi. I have noticed that my activity level has decreased over the last two months. I have not been doing any exercises and think that this may be the reason. Can anybody confirm that the activity level drops over the time if you do not do any sports?

Thanks

Some questions for Admin

Hi to all.
The presence of heart rate during training, may be the reason for increasing the value of Activity Level?
Example:
If there HXM, training is used for the rating (all sports)
If not HXM, the filter is used on sports with GPS track.
You can do this?

In this training worked my heart, i can use this workout to increase my rating?

What is the algorithm for calculating the Activity Level?
I added this week 3.603 calories but my Activity Level is not changed; indeed decrease da "8.9 (+1.2)" in "8.9 (+1.1)" is normal?

Thanks so much
Eros

Seems nobody can give a proper answer to this... It looks like what really counts during the calculation is the calories burnt. Yet it seems that not all sports are counted. For example, I uploaded 2 sailings with a lot of calories burnt, but there was no change to my activity level...
So, is there a professional response to this issue?

I see active ratings have now number, but what means number in clauses? for example 7,8 (-0,4)
My quess is that its difference to a.l. in last month (this month activity level - last month activity level)?

I practice spinning and I can not create route with GPS.
Only I have the pulsometer HXM, however, does not show the level of activity

I understand that kcal are taken into account only for the recorder tracks, but it is quiet sad when you practice home trainer, for example (you know your exact kcal consumption, you can record it via the "manual add" function, but...).

@ admin:

i see the problem you face but i think it's possible to get a quite pragmatic solution as far you can distinguish between uphill and downhill. i am sure most people doing skiing tours agree to have the main calorie consumption doing uphill. therefore i would suggest to set calorie consumption for downhill on a very low level or even to zero.
for all users doing skiing tours it would be better to have the uphill calories only instead of nothing.

what do you think?
