When walking, mountaineering or climbing with the mountainbike the need for a frequent postion update is not of paramount importance. At the same time a long battery duration is needed, when staying in the wild for a long time.
Is it possible to have a "super battery save mode", trading some speed of position update with a lower power drain?
Maybe linking the sport selection with an update frequency, in terms of speed, or traveled length, or time, etc, could help in keeping the run gps asleep for some time (tens of seconds to 1 or 2 minutes) and reduce consequently the power drain.
