Though the application indicated it was connected to the HxM with varying different COMs and Baud rates. I believe Run GPS was only seeing the device via Bluetooth, but a COM connection was not truly open. The issue was actually in the Samsung Wireless Manager. Though I had the HxM paired, I had not selected the "Menu" option on the Bluetooth Device screen. When I did there was a list item called "COM Ports." I had to create a new "Outgoing Port" and chose a COM Port that was available, and then mirror that in Run GPS for the heart rate monitor COM Port. Once I did I had a Red heart icon in Run GPS and all is well.
Run GPS message indicates Zephyr HxM "Signal weak"
Hello Community,
I Have a Zephyr HxM monitor, it is paired to my Samsung Blackjack II and Run GPS indicates in the "Heart Monitor"settings that it is connected. I ran 4.25 miles today and everytime Run GPS would tell me that the Heart Rate singal was weak. I never got one reading. Below is the setting/device breakdown:
Samsung Blackjack II Settings
1. Bluetooth ON
2. Bluetooth paired to HxM
3. Bluetooth Serial Port on Samsung is CHECKED
Run GPS Heart Rate Monitor Settings
1. Type: HxM/HrM
2. Com Port:2
3. Baud rate 9600 (I also had it set at 115200 as that is what the Zeyphy SDK manual indicated.)
4. CHECKED Use .Net COM Port
4. CHECKED Auto Connecton startup
Personal Settings
1. YES user is still living
2. YES runner is sweaty
3. Plenty of moisture on chest strap
Can anyone give me some assitance? I really would like to get the monitor up and running
