When I look at this record, I think I understand RunGPS is not so precise:
http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/mountainbiking_719871
As you can see, I was walking around a track; first the internal lane then the external one.
Just have a look at the curve; it's like I'm completely out of field which isn ot; there is not tree.
My sport is bush walking, each week for about 3 hours, generally not on flat terrain. I have been using my PDA (Windows Mobile 5) for several years to record and report on each walk. Another walker in the same group now uses a Gamin device to also record the same walk at the same time, We can never agree on the total distance walked, usually the Gamin device is 10 - 15 % higher.
Has anyone else made comparisons on the calculated distance in non RunGPS software devices?
Are there adjustments I need to make to my system?
Is there a calculation error in the RunGPS software?
