You know what? I think I figured it out!

I wanted to upload three separate training recordings, but I think that what I did was upload a single training three times, changing the type of training each time!

I'm guessing that I needed to have gone to the "training settings" screen from the main menu, then selected "new training", then started up the training! (Instead, I simply paused the training, uploaded the data, changed the sport, then started the training again!)

I'll try again tomorrow, and see if I have the results I expect!

Well, in a way, I kind of thought to myself "this is only the lite version", but still, I thought that I *was* only creating one sport per training recording! That's why I did three consecutive uploads!

So, although they happened one immediately after another, I thought that there would be three entries for my training log for yesterday: one walking training (for five minutes -- after which I uploaded), one running training (for 25 minutes -- after which I uploaded again), and a final walking training (again, five minutes, after which I uploaded).

It seemed to me that the Lite version was only able to hold one training at a time, so that's why I took the tactic of three consecutive trainings. Is that something that the software cannot handle?

One training recording can only have one sport. So you'd have to start a new training each time you switch sport.

If you were to use Run.GPS Trainer UV Full, you could record one training after another and sync everything to GPS-Sport.net when you're at home :-)

I forgot to mention ... I'm using Trainer Lite on my Droid. It's release 2.3.9a, build 2334.

Thanks!

I saw something that I hadn't expected today, while working out.

I was jogging, and my usual plan was to walk 5 minutes, then jog 25 minutes, then walk 5 minutes.

In previous workouts, I had logged this as a single session of "running". Since I had three different paces, though, it was difficult to know what my jogging pace was -- the web site only gives me an average pace. Therefore, I decided today to have three separate training sessions:

First, I'd set the app to "walk", and record and upload that five-minute session.

Then, I'd set the app to "run", and record and upload that 25-minute session.

Finally, I'd set the app to "walk", and record and upload that five-minute session.

However, when I returned to my PC and browsed to the web site, I saw that the software listed my training today as a single session of 35 minutes, and the entire session was listed as "walking".

Perhaps I misunderstood how the software works -- was I trying to do something differently than the software is built to work? Or should it have shown up as three distinct workouts?

Thanks!

Larry
