Great work with the last update, it's working now perfectly. Thank you very much!

Hello admins,
installing SVOX is a temporary solution but I'd really like to have a 'real' solution for listening to music and voice output at the same time.
Servus.
I followed the advice from Kardaman and installed SVOX and german voice PETRA which costs 3 Euro. Well, that fixed my whish to hear the voice feedback while listening to the music. So many thanks to Kardaman.

Hi,
I understand the problem given here, but I can here both at the same time and have hardly any trouble hearing the voice outputs. Though the music I am listening to have almost no vocals and the only commands I have to hear are for navigation, left or right.
Totally mute is maybe not the good way, but go to 50% or 20% is. Though, if Android does not support different attenuations of volumes between different apps, Run.GPS can program what they want, never gonna happen. If so, hopefully Android 4 will support different volume outputs per app.
(From Google's standpoint, one volume for all is better, because most users will not understand it and complain about different volume outputs per app.... negative for Android, so I can understand if Google will not implement it)
Maybe another solution to the problem: a built in music player in Run.GPS :). Just an idea.

Hello
No, no, please don't mute the music ever. See my wishes here:
http://www.gps-sport.net/forums/thread/2338-0/What-Run.GPS-should-not-change-for-the-future-releases
I have to use several other sport apps the last two month because RunGPS does'nt support ANT+ heart rate sensors (RunGPS will do so soon).
Some of them mute the music and some others even mute the music, when they just give a beep for signal.
The muting of music is annoying, believe me.
And what you want is not to mute the music, you want to hear the voice.
RunGPS uses a Text to Speech engine (TTS). Normally it uses the standard Android one. In my Sony Phone it is called "Pico TTS".
But there is a better one with a nicer voice. Its SVOX. It costs 3€ buts it worth it.
This TTS engine has special setting, where you can change the volume of the voice itself.
I set it up a litte bit louder than the music and with 250% of volume its louder than the music and you can hear it clearly without muting the music.
Thats perfect for me.
Bye
PS.: Maybe the best solution would be to have a checkbox to choose wether you want to mute the music or not.
If Run.GPS are listening I agree, you cannot get the real benefit of the app when listening to music, please add functionality to mute the music when talking, will add to the user experience :)

I agree, the voice command is a great feature, but at the moment, it is impossible to listen to the music and the commands at the same time :( so you basically have to choose between them two. It would definitely help tremendously to temporarily mute the music.
would be a great Feature ... I'm using HTC Desire HD ... in general the Music / Voice is very silent on my headphones ...
When playing Music I just can't hear the voice anymore ...
So muting the Music while Voice output would be a very useful feature ...
