Migration to Android

This worked fine for me, as I just bought an Android device to replace my WM6.5 device.
I spent quite some time though, looking for this article, and it would have been great to find it in a more prominent place (FAQs, Manual). Now I will try to copy my data dir and hope it copies my trainings!
Thanks for a great product!!

You can use both devices as long as both belong to you (licence number one won't get deactivated). Support for external GPS in Android is not planned yet.

Thanks for the reply. Before I try this out, does it mean that automatically the license for the WM phone expires or is it possible to have the programme running on both phones at the same time? Because I don't know yet about the performance of the internal GPS of my Desire HD. On the Touch HD it was useless so I always used an external BT mouse but this option is not available for Android (yet?). If my Desire HD performs worse than the old setup I may want to fix the broken BT on the Touch HD and keep it in use as my Run.GPS device - in flight mode with extended battery life as a bonus.

You do not need another licence when switching from
- Android to Windows Mobile
- Windows Mobile to Android

This applies only if you bought the licence in our shop (www.rungps.net).

You just need the licence activation link for licence migration (which was sent to you by email upon ordering).
You can also use this link to get a new licence activation link: http://www.rungps.net/Support_EN.jsp

To get the Android version activated, please install the release from www.rungps.net >> Downloads. You'll need to install the APK file using a package manager like "Astro" (free from Android Market).

If you want to migrate to Windows Phone 7 - that's not possible without buying a new licence because Microsoft allows only selling through Windows Marketplace, so we have no option to give you a licence for that.

Do you actually need another license when switching from WM to Android? I tried to apply my license key in my new phone but it doesn't work. Would I have to pay for the same software again just because I use another phone?

Just went from mobile 6.5 to a Android 2.2 phone, when I enter new licence and restart it doesn't recognize the new licence, always shows the "demo" key in the about screen. Any ideas? Thanks
