The article says that the sender uses "proprietary 802.11", meaning that you can probably only use it with devices that support this "proprietary 802.11" such as the iPod.

Could Run.GPS made to work with Polar Nike+ sensor

I saw in this forum that the Polar Bluetooth sensor works with Run.GPS. The only disadvantage seems to be that that Polar BT sensor doesn't work with the Polar devices. Since I like to have the Polar CS400 on my bike in sight and the Run.GPS phone in a pocket of my jersey, this isn't ideal.
On the Polar site I learned that their Nike+ wearlink works with Nike+ enabled devices AND with their own Polar devices.
According to this site (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/news/comments/apples-nikeipod-system-uses-proprietary-80211-not-bluetooth/) the Nike+ running sensors work through 802.11 proctocol, not Bluetooth.

Since most Run.GPS devices (smartphones) have a WIFI receiver, would it be possible to add this to the software?
It would make my day, week, month even year, since I love Run.GPS and would like realtime HRM data directly to Run.GPS instead of uploading the Polar data which is hard to perfectly sync.
