re: bug

I tried raising the DOP to 50 with still no joy.. I still got signal too weak messages & the run not recording accurately.

Hopefully there will be an updated version for Android sometime, but I still cannot help think that the GPS in my Galaxy S plays a role as well. The so called fix for the Galaxy still has not been released, feeling is that it will come combined with the Froyo release?

In the meantime keep using my WM6 phone :-(

re: bug

I actually did email support & they did not admit to any bug but did state to try increasing the allowed DOP..

I have been just using my old HTC WM6 in the meantime which always has a DOP of 1.6.

Hopefully it will be addressed in a future release as I would like to start using my Samsung??

Apparently Samsung is releasing FROYO 2.2 very soon (maybe the 23rd Sept) with a GPS fix built-in, will see if that does make a difference though?

bug

addo62>
it's a bug of android version of the program
it is an accuracy in METERS, not the DOP
so a value of 10 to 25 is very good
set allowed DOP to 50 in settings until they get rid of the bug

I use it with a sports armband.

I am starting to think that the GPS strength in my phone is the problem with the software. Although it works fine with other GPS Navigation programs the Samsung Galaxy S has been widely crticised since it went on sale for its poor GPS function.
Samsung have in the last few days announced a firmware fix to come in September, so hopefully all will be well then??

How do you hold your phone? Because I used to run with the phone in my hand and my DOP was between 10 and 25. Now I have the phone hanging on a keycord on my neck and the dop is now between 1 and 7 constantly.
I have a HTC Hero btw.

poor GPS signal

Is any Android users finding the GPS performance to be flaky? I have a Samsung Galaxy S which I know has had GPS issues, but my GPS is rock solid with other Navigation programs. On rungps I constantly get a weak signal with a DOP of 10, it will go back to a good with DOP of 5 but will not hold it. Constantly locked onto 8/9 Sats..
I have tried the current version & the one before..
