I think, you are wrong
I hope, you understand me.
1. It´s not 12:94. It is 12:04 min/sek per mile
2. Your slowest pace was 24:08 min/sek per mile,
3. You whole graph is two blocks high, because the slowest pace was 24:08 and the half of this is the 1.Tile of the whole graph, also it will be 12:04
4. The orange line is not 12:04, i think it will be perhaps 9:30 up to 10:00. I think, the orange line will show the correct pace, like you can read on your device.
5. You are right, if you say: "Graph is very hard to read."
6. You wrote: "The pace never seems right on my mobile device either... For this training it says the pace was 12:30"
I don´t now any reason for this problem.
The most important stat to me about my running is the average minutes/seconds per mile ran. Pace is not included on the man statistics page except for a graph which is very hard to read and seems to be wrong.
Take this run for instance: http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/running_359553
I calculate a 9:32 minute pace
Yet, the graph seems to say the average pace is 12:94
The pace never seems right on my mobile device either... For this training it says the pace was 12:30
However, the spoken average pace and active pace both seem to be correct. Is this a bug?
