Thanks for the "Export Maps" tool in Route Planner

The "Export Maps" tool is back and it's even better than before. Now the image in the full screen mode is centered in the same way as the previous Route Planner screen image.
I've tried the PDA Tile Manager, but I prefer the raster maps solution because it's more predictable and the same image works with all zoom levels. I found the PDTATM way a little bit clumsy because you have to set tiles for all zoom levels you use making it necessary to dnld dozens of files. And besides this, if you choose not to dnld all zoom indexes so as to minimize the quantity of files transfered, zooming in Run.GPS is not smooth as some zoom levels images are missing. As Google often blocks this file transfer, you end up with a checker board of missing tiles...

Route Planner missing tool

When you go mountainbiking or hiking off road you can't always count on maps. There are some places that aren't even mapped yet. In this situation it is very useful to have satellite photos of the area so as to prevent getting lost or to visually find alternate routes (when you reach a unexpected dead end track or a broken bridge, for example).
The previous version of Route Planner used to have such a tool that calibrated screen shots of satellite photos so as to make the tiles match and have them downloaded to Run.GPS app.
Why was it removed from Route Planner in this version 2.2?
Does anybody know another way to get those calibrated satellite images?
