Thnx, Erwin!
Your suggestion helped a lot!
It's working just fine now on Chrome. So simple and I couldn't guess it...
That's all I need to fit the route on the small mountain tracks I see in the satellite photos.
I was really in panic because of the huge amount of routes I'm going to edit in the next few days.

Switch off routing
Don't know if it is a solution to all the problems, but you can switch the routing (jerusalem) off by choosing "beeline" for the routing mode instead of the default "by foot".
I use firefox for the route planner without any problems.

Route Planner problem: can't insert points in the middle of a track
Hi,
I was trying to edit some routes and I just can't insert points in the middle of a track so as to adjust it to the contours of a road I see on a sattellite photo as I used to do until two months ago. If I wish to correct or to change a route following an alternative path, I usually select the "insert points on track" tool and click where I want to position the new point over the map or photo. This seems not to work anymore. As I click over the map, the screen fades out a little bit while the "creating route..." msg appears. Suddenly all the track is gone, remaining only the beginning and the end points. Besides this, the "Route Info" graph shows : "98 points, NaN km, NaN mi" instead of the actual distance figures. (???)
And sometimes nothing happens but the "creating route..." msg as I go on clicking on the map.
If I try to create a new route, I'd select starting point and click on the map. A green dot appears. Then I select ending point and click. A red dot appears but the blue line that should link the beginning to end is missing. Now that I have both beginning and ending points I should be able to insert points in between. What happens is that the green dot jumps to the place I last clicked on, leaving a tiny blue dot where this green dot was. And no blue line is drawn.
I tested using Google Chrome and Firefox and none turned out to work. Just the same.
Am I missing something in this new version of Route Planner or this is really a bug?
Is it possible to turn this Jerusalem thing off? There are no OpenStreetMaps on the area I intend to route.
Is there a short term solution to this? I was really counting on Route Planner so as to edit a 500 km route I'm going to follow on a mountain bike trip next week.
