I tried it today and it worked well. If I remember correctly, the special functionality was created because windows mobile deactivated GPS when you initiated plain "standby". It appears that android doesn't do that and because of that, it's safe to just lock the screen as you always do. Who would have thought..? :)
Maybe things will get complicated when people want to leave the display on (for watching stats or navigation) and still have some kind of safety regarding the touch screen..

I was used to have one on my HTC diamond and it was great because I run with my phone in the pocket.
Now with my HTC desire, all the parameters are changing during the training. Moreover, I have some crashes of the application maybe because of the many unintentionnal request on the screen.
Please add the little padlock in the tool bar.
