Now I think I do have a problem: I downloaded the APK-Installer for the new version and saved it to the SD-card. The device then gave me three choices: Install, Upgrade or Uninstall. I clicked upgrade but then received the message that the software cannot be installed on my phone. I tried this several times with no success. I then thought there might be a conflict with the older, existing version of Run GPS on the device and uninstalled the existing version and deleted all Run GPS-files.
Unfortunately I still got the same message, that Run GPS could not be installed on my phone. The thing is, now I don't even have the older version anymore...
Yes the training data does seem to be corrupted. It cannot even be exported to create a route from it.
So, please update to the latest release 2.3.6.
If you installed it from Android Market, open Android Market on your phone and choose "Downloads". Android Market will offer an update for the program.
If you installed from www.rungps.net, go to www.rungps.net >> Downloads. Then download the latest Android release (APK installer). Copy it to your SD card and install the program using an App Manager like "Astro" (can be freely obtained from Android Market).
If you send me a private message I could give you access to "My trainings". There you could see that probably 50% or more of the trainings are corrupted.
I've been using Run GPS for somewhat over 6 months now. One problem has been constant through all this time: Whenever I upload trainings to the homepage I can never be sure that the time or the distance will be uploaded correctly. Funnily enough it doesn't just switch to Zero but actually puts in another (and unfortunately wrong) time or distance, leaving me with some courses that I seemingly ran with 41 km/h and others with 5 km/h.
Does anyone else encounter the same problem? Btw, I'm using the HTC Hero, i.e. an Android phone. GPS connectivity is excellent.
