"The best way to have a backup is to copy all the files from your device with Run.GPS to a safe place".
Isn't this what gps-sport.net is setup for? This website is my safe place. Should it not be my safe place?
In my case (and I'm sure others) having a way to batch download from the website would be advantageous. At a minimum I need my x,y data and time which is included in the GPX file format. They are many desktop applications that read GPX/KML/etc. Therefore, having a way to get the raw data (x,y and time) out of the system should be at least as easy as getting data into the system.
If you'd download all trainings as GPX files this would have some disadvantages:
- there's not all data in it because the GPX format is not very flexible (e.g. no heart rate, no laps, ..)
- you would not be able to restore anything (neither in Run.GPS nor in GPS-Sport.net from these files)
The best way to have a backup is to copy all the files from your device with Run.GPS to a safe place.
/sdcard-or-similar/My Documents/Run.GPS folder on Windows Mobile
/sdcard/Run.GPS folder on Google Android
Okay I know now that's too late for you ... but maybe the data on the SD card from the crashed device are still alive?
I want to export all of my training sessions in one batch data export job to GPX/KML format. I've seen how to export all my training as a CSV file but I don't think that downloads the GPS (x,y) data. My mobile device crashed and I no longer have all my training sessions stored locally. Suggestions?
