@Slogfester: The simulator could never be started without being logged in. The reason for this is simply that the mechanism needs pretty much resources on our server, so we don't want every one to click these links and open the simulator. Especially we don't want any search engine to access the page.
@Rouven: Yes, the 1x - 50x playback speed selection is not related to the real training time. The playback speed multipliers are calculated for each training individually because the training durations are very different (e.g. 1/2 hour running as opposed to 10 hours ski-touring).
I think when this first appeared you could run the simulator without being signed in?
But now you have to be signed in?
Would be good if non-members could run it.
One thing, the training parameter boxes overlap on mine (Firefox), so the bottom third of each box is obscured by the box below it?
However, I have noticed recently that using Firefox, on my home page, the 'Sign In' hyperlink is obscured by the the blue box for My (Trainings?). (All is OK using IE). I never used to get this problem. Have you changed something?
A new feature has been installed (as a beta version) on the GPS-Sport.net community server: a training simulator. With this tool you can replay your uploaded trainings. Many training parameters are displayed for for each part of your training, for example: time, distance, speed, average speed, cadence, heart rate, heart efficiency, and many more (21 values in total).
There are diagrams for altitude, speed, heart rate, heart efficiency and GPS DOP (dilution of precision). A training can be replayed at selectable speed or you can go to a specific position of the training using a slider.
To try it out, select any training detail page and click the link "Start training simulator".
Known restrictions of the beta version (so far):
- Internet Explorer does not display current position in the diagrams (but it works for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera)
