Maybe you could try connecting via USB + ActiveSync. It depends on your Windows version and configuration if it's possible to connect to the Internet like this: PDA >> USB cable >> ActiveSync >> PC >> DSL >> Internet.
It's important to use a high speed connection for uploading. Ideally WiFi. Some providers have restrictions on the upload file size if you use UMTS or EDGE. But that actually should not be a problem if you don't include pictures in the upload.
Do you have enough free mem on the storage card? The ZIP archive is created there, not in main memory.
At the moment, there is no way to manually upload these archives.
Depending on if I do a genereal synch or open the specific training I get different errors. When using the general synch it most often just gets stuck without any message. I've tried letting it be like that for like 30 minutes, and then I cancel the synch. If I open the specific training and use Upload to portal from it, it mostly gives the error "Failed to create ZIP archive" (I'm not uploading pictures or video). I have at least 30 MB of available memory, and I suppose a training file can't be near that in size.
Also after having tried a synch, RUN GPS hangs when I tro to close it so I have to remove the battery to get the phone working again.
From what I understand uploading long trainings is a problem to many users? Are any efforts spent on trying to solve these issues, or are you working on other stuff?
Is there a way to export a file and upload a training manually to gps-sport.net? (I've only found a way to upload routes manually)
I have problems synching long trainings with GPS-Sport.net
Hi,
I've had problems with synching long training. Two weeks ago I updated the software and after some troubles two long trainings finally got synched.
Today however I did another long training (3 hours and 50 minutes), and I just can't get it synched with GPS-Sport.net. Am I the only one experiencing this? Any tips on how to get long trainings synched?
