Duplicate trainings

Hi all,

Talking about duplicate trainingdata... today I stumbled upon this:
Search the differences:
http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/mountainbiking_720841
http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/mountainbiking_720822

Today our fellow spotsman rbalansay uploaded this months trainings, as I expected him too... he had been too quite for too long. Taking a closer look at his trainings I found out that the trainings I just mentioned are exactly the same, though recorded on a different date. Now, I don't want to accuse him of unfair behaviour without knowing what may have caused this, but it surely would be nice if this would be corrected. Also, I wonder if this happens more often.
Maybe there should also be a check for identical trainings whenever a trainings plausibility is being determined.

Grtz,

LeMarquis

Hi Bolos,

Thanks for clearing that up! :-)
I agree with you that duplicate trainings should be deleted afterwards, because making them manually implausible is impossible.

Kind regards,

LeMarquis

I see you're quite a sportsman yourself. Keep up the good job! :-)

Hi LeMarquis,

I do not talk about you. It is really great what you and others are training. To be very cear: I do not questioning your honesty.

I've seen other duplicate trainings.

To be honest, If I would get a second device I would also use it for a short time in parallel and compare the results. And I'm also not sure if I would delete thereafter the trainings (there is also no button to make a training manually implausible)

So the best thing woud be, if run.gps detects this automatically and mark a training as unplausible if it overlaps with another training.

Kind regards, bolos

Hi Bolos,

I suppose your remark is addressed to me. If it's not I'll answer it anyway.

I agree with you that there should be a check whether or not trainings have been recorded simultaneously.
Now, to answer some of the questions you may have:

Q: Do I have multiple devices?
A: Yes, I do. I own a HTC Touch HD and a HTC HD7 (which I can highly recommend to everyone). I use the Touch HD for racebiking and cycling and the HD7 for other trainings. First of all because I don't have a bikeholder for the HD7 yet and secondly the HD7 doesn't support the use of HRM's (yet).

Q: Do I use them simultaneously?
A: No, I NEVER use them simultaneously.

Q: Am I honest.
A: Yes, I am honest.

Q: Do you (or anyone else for that matter) need to believe me?
A: No, you don't.

Q: Don't you get tired of people who are questioning your honesty just because you're concerned about privacy matters?
A: Yes, I do. Actually it's even more frustrating to see people with a public profile who are - whether or not deliberately - "cheating" without anyone saying something about that.

FYI:
I've recenly asked a Run.GPS employee to publicly confirm that my recordings are valid (whenever I ask him to). He agreed upon that. So, if I cannot take away any doubts anyone may have I'll make sure the Run.GPS team checks my trainings and confims their validity. When I do this then this will automatically mean that I expect EVERYONE in this forum not to doubt my honesty anymore! I will unsubscribe from this thread and will not answer any more questions about this matter whatever anyone may think about me or call me.
I hope you understand.
Of course I'll still be willing to other questions on other topics.

Grtz,

LeMarquis

Training doppelt aufzeichnen

Axter,

What's your problem man? Is this your reply to this topic? http://www.gps-sport.net/forums/thread/2184-0/Training-data-are-not-plausible- in which you posted this nonsense too?
I'm quite sure you've read my answer over there so you'll probably know by now that my weight is absolutely correct thanks to my withings scale. What makes you so convinced anyone here is cheating? What makes anyone a cheater? When one burns 70000 kCal a month, 50000 kCal a motnh, 30000 kCal a month, or more kCal's than you? There must be some rule for this, right?
It seems I have hurt your feelings a bit because you sound pretty hostile and you don't seem to be the only one. It's a shame. Please start acting like an adult... or at least try. You're NOT showing the character of a real sportsman. So for the last time... stop accusing people, get your *** of that motorcycle and on a bike if you want to burn some calories as well... and most of all... don't spoil the fun of this site for anyone!

Thanks!

P.S.: And show some respect for the E-Symetric team. They made this all possible for you!

Cheaters

is very sad to see the first 2 positions covered by cheaters that did record a fake huge weight , so the calories are tripled and with James Bond dreams in their head. ...but we all need to let them know that nobody cares where they've been. Actually nobody cares where an old fart was . Well , sad is also the fact that that the ESymetric team does not care of our requests or suggestion in this case or any other....no matter how simple it is.

Hallo,

@Starbase

jeder kann machen was er will.
