do not cry !!!

it did not drop , I've adjust it to leave Erwin on the first place as he owns it.
I am just making sure that you never get on there anymore.
I can put it anytime back to how much I want , as it seems you're desperate about it :)
About the PM ...you forgot? Your ID is private as you are James Bond and you do not
want the villains knowing your whereabouts....so use your 2 devices and other stuff ,
try to see if you ever can do more than me =))
Regarding Amsterdam , if I can make the effort to go 3000 KM till there , you can catch a train too...but you wouldn't.
Also next month I will take also the speed and distance records...just to let you know that
you can say Kansas bye bye. It will never happen again with a secret profile.

Well, thank you for proving my point... you're not just a kid, you're a baby with high levels of testosterone.
That's a great map you're showing us here... I see you've been cycling in Europe, Australia, America and even the South Pacific... all in 1 month! Without being amongst the highest rankings of total distances. Incredible! You didn't even show up on the homepage as one of the 3 highest ranked athletes and in fact you didn't show up anywhere except for the highest amount of calories burned, which (not surprisingly) today dropped from about 107000 to 36140.
When I use a HRM my amount of calories burned while cycling is about 30kCal/km, which is just above the amount without using a HRM. In your case it's about 100 kCal/km. So please don't give me this b*llsh*t.
And by the way... The Netherlands are bigger than just Amsterdam. If you want to race me, that's fine with me, but I don't see the point. It's just alpha-male behaviour, so I'd rather race with someone who knows how to behave like an adult.
Anyway... I don't think this discussion is interesting to anyone but you so if you want to call me names or show me pictures of your muscles than please start a new thread or PM me.
I wish you peace of mind and lots of wisdom for 2012...

Regards,

LeMarquis

HRM , trainings

Learn how to loose , as you did not learn how to win.
Majority of my trainings were live and with HRM , that gives the real no of calories.
The ones without are giving an inflated count.
If you really think you're good , I can race you anytime . Will be in Amsterdam sometime in the summer
and if you want to see my trainings , here they are

Always happy.

Hi Axter,

First of all: Please stop behaving like a child and start acting like a man. This is not a kindergarten.
Secondly: You're not proving that others are cheating. You're proving that:
- a) You're a great athlete OR
- b) You don't practice what you preach. So you're the one who's cheating.
If you really burned more than 100k kCal's last month you'd earn some respect. But my guess is that you deliberately perpetrated a fraud. I've seen your recordings (before you made your profile private) and all values were way too high to be correct. So I wonder... are you willing to have your recordings being verified by the Run.GPS staff, just like me?
Subsequently: I'm always happy... regardless of my place in the rankings. I'm happy because I know all my trainings are valid, I enjoy my sports and I managed to keep my weight at the same level. My place in the rankings doesn't effect any of those things. I hope you're happy too and if this is the way you want to get to the top I won't stop you. I just hope you know there are many others who play it fair and I hope you won't spoil their fun.

Now, I think you've had your fair share of attention so let me get back to this subject in a more general way:
The Hall of Fame will not only stand or fall with the quality of the plausibility check and the correctness of the calculated calorie consumption, but also with the honesty of it's members. I think the Run.GPS team is doing a great job when it comes to checking the validity of a training. But when it comes to calorie consumption there are many ways to get false results (whether deliberate or not), so it all depends on honesty whether the data is correct or not.
For example, I've seen:
- Users who use a HRM and consume twice as many calories (or more) than those who don't. I've seen values up to about 80 kCals/km cycling. This might also be a "false weight" issue.
- Users who use a HRM and stop their training after being home for 5 minutes (time after time).
- Users who put the sportstype on mountainbiking while cycling, which (when not using a HRM), consumes much more calories.
And there are probably more ways to generate wrong values, whether deliberate or not. The Run.GPS team has no influence on that so some honesty is expected from everyone.

There has been some criticism the past year about my profile being private. I can understand that this may raise questions, especially when ranked first. Nevertheless, I can honestly say that I've not been cheating in any way and never will be. Thank you to those who don't question my honesty. For those who do... like I said before, you can ask the Run.GPS team to confirm this. I'm sure that's a better way to deal with this than the way Axter is dealing with it.

My primary goal was to keep my weight level throughout the year... and I succeeded (for the first time in many years). For those of you who critisized me because of my privacy awareness or those who are aiming for the first spot I've got some good news: last month I decided to ease up on the sports for a while (starting january 1st). At least for a couple of months (or more)... until I hopefully got my new racing bike. I think there are some great sportsmen and sportswomen here who deserve to be at the top of the rankings. I wish them all the best... and although the rankings are "just for fun", please keep it fair! Thanks!

To conclude my post here's just a personal note to the top 10 members and some others I'd like to mention (starting from the top):

- rbalansay: To be short... he was, still is and will be the one to beat. Travels all over the world and still manages to be at the top of the rankings. Superb!

- MKBiker59: This is a tough fellow! I've got the feeling he'd never give up even if his life depended on it. And he shouldn't because he deserves to be at the top of the rankings! I really appreciate he has never complained about my profile being private. Got the mind and heart of a real sportsman. (just one critical note: please check your settings because you burn calories more than twice faster than the almost any other user, except for Axter).

- tomsun: I have to say I'm a bit jealous because mountainbiking in Switserland... man that must be a great experience! Great sportsman! Hope he's okay, haven't seen him around in december!

- unitex99: Actually, same goes for unitex99 because mountainbiking or racebiking in Austria must be equally fantastic! Keep up the good job!

- ekerstges: The math teacher who maybe should have been a sports teacher! Going like a rocket straight up to that first place! The kids at school must be proud of you! He may very well be a future champion.

- henzel: Great to see you at the top! I'm sure this year you'll climb even higher. Also a possible future number one! Hopefully we can have a ride together this year and break some new personal speed records. This man must have muscles like a horse! (Sorry I still haven't sent you a PM. I will soon!)

- rallymiguel: For a fanatic like you it must be great to have a climate like that and be able to cycle almost every day without having to worry about rain. There's no stopping you. Great sportsman!

- ReGu: Man, this guy can run! A marathon must be child play for him! Keep it up this year!

- marek: Damn, jealous again! Travalling all over Europe (and beyond) on your bike. Must be a dream come true! Hope you see beautiful places and meet wonderful people!

Some other members:

- My girlfriend: She's bought a beautiful racing bike this year and man... she's fast! I hope to see her in the top 100 rankings this year, but even if she doesn't... I'm very proud of her in every possible way!

- Speedsu: Too bad you've dropped out of the top 10. It sure would be nice to have more women in the rankings. You're such a great athlete!

- Axter: Please don't spoil the fun for the others around here. Thanks.

And of course thanks to the Run.GPS team. Especially Tom for fixing some issues. You guys make great software!

I wish you all (of course not only the top ranked members) a great year! Enjoy your sports and keep in good health!

"Puscht"

Bedeutungen:

[1] regional, salopp für Wasser lassen, urinieren
[2] jemanden oder etwas in eine unverdient hohe Position bringen

I'm pretty sure it's not option 1.
If it's option 2... see my previous messages and search someone else to pick on because I'm getting a bit tired of it. All my traing data is valid and this can be affirmed by the Run.GPS team. Same goes for rallymiguel and rblansays. I don't question their honesty. In case of rallymiguel it just seems a bad recording. I don't know what happened there with rblansays trainingdata but as you can read below this will be solved by the Run.GPS team.

Grtz,

LeMarquis

What the hell is "puscht"? Is that a bad thing? ;-)
Rallymiguels training just seems to be a bad recording and therefore its marked as non-plausible so it doesn't affect the stats, whereas rblansays recording does affect the stats (although it shouldn't).

Grtz,

LeMarquis.

Nicht nur Le Marquis puscht hier,

auch Rallymiguel tut dieses!

damit sollte er gute Chancen beim New York Marathon haben. Grins.....

Duplicate trainings

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the quick reply!
I hope this solves the problem. :)

Grtz,

LeMarquis
Tom 31.10.2011 09:53:35 UTC

Hi LeMarquis,

The problem of duplicate training entries could be caused by several reasons:
- a technical issue (which we don't know yet)
- a user trying to use data from an old recording when he or she did not take his smartphone or if the GPS failed or something similar

How we'll react:

We'll add another plausibility filter that checks if the training start timestamp matches the timestamps of the actual data in the training.

So these trainings won't be counted.
