| Trainingsdaten nach Update anzeigen / To load trainings sessions after update |
Danke,
Fritz
The new version 1.2.8 works without any problems, but after I have transfered run.gps from thelocal store to my documents on a memory card I cannot load my trainings data.
Can anybody help to solve the problem?
Thanks in anticipation,
Fritz

| Removing speed spikes |
According to Run.GPS, during a recent ride I maxed out on my bicycle at 351.9 km/h! Which really annoys me because I'm sure I hit 355 ;)
So how do I get rid of this ridiculous spike? (Note to programmers- future versions need limits for speed and other parameters)
The documentaion (http://www.rungps.net/Wiki.jsp?page=DocRun.GPSFileSystemEN) hints that I could look (and edit?) at the data in a file called training.csv, but I do not have any such file in any training dir. I have training.xml, waypoints.xml (as per documentaion) and then a file called data.gpb which -while I presume it holds the data- can not be easily read/edited in Notebook etc.
Thanks

| Little Test with GlobalSat BT-338 bluetooth GPS |
Hi guys,
I made a little test with Run.GPS and my Qtek 9090 and my bluetooth GPS from GlobalSat (BT-338).
I started the recorder in GPS Trainer if good gps connection.
Tested the failed connection satellites and the software did ok. It resumed when the conection was available agaim.
Still, it was measuring some wrong data. I suspect that it is from the GPS signal, i don't know, but i was stopped for 30 minutes and the software was measuring small speeds and sometimes 0. For 30 minutes i did 2,73 Km being stopped :)
Is there any parameter that i can change in order to solve this ? or it is normal for slow/zero speed ?
thanks
and good work |

| Updating to new version (1.2.8) |
I'm using this program for quite some time and did some updates. But with version 1.2.8 the cab-installer tells me that it cannot remove the old version. Earlier versions did this. I'm afraid of loosing my data if I skip this warning message.
Am I too fearful? :-)
Thank you! |

| Scanning for pictures during Upload |
On my system (HTC P3600 Trinity running WM 5), scanning for pictures during the Training/Upload routine, causes Run.GPS to consistently and reproducably crash. Moving the picture to different locations (both in maim memory and storage card) produces same effect. No problems if the picture is moved to the training plan subdir and 'no scan' is selected, but this is laborious. And the documentation/software says it can find (scan for) the picture anywhere?

| Viewing routes in Google Earth via IE7 |
If I or my friends using IE6 or 7 to view a route select ‘View in Google Earth‘ from ‘Actions‘ on the community server, then it just brings up a data page with a bit of html script, i.e. it fails to launch Google Earth and show the route. A friend has said it works OK in Firefox. As I and most of the world use the evil-empire‘s IE7, can this be fixed please? I know this can be done manually, but it would be nice if this works properly for IE.
Other Actions, such as ‘Dowmload KML‘ and ‘Download GPX‘ also don‘t function properly, i.e. you don‘t expected ‘Save As‘ windows script.

| How can i avoid breaks when losing GPS signals |
Hello,
during a training or recording, sometimes GPS signal getting lost or missing. btw, the tracking shows several breaks an the average speed are going down.
Is there a solution, that run.gps didn‘t misinterpret lost GPSsignal as an break? my idea is, that all breaks under short time are not listed, only really breaks where considered. How can i manage this?
with friendly regards
Willy
