It's been mostly clear skies when I've tried it and always outdoors in open spaces or at home close to a window. Never tried running both TomTom and RunGPS at the same time.
Today I managed to get a fix though. I left it by the window and the only difference from previous attempts was that I first ran TomTom until I got a fix, then quit and started RunGPS. I've no idea why that worked... Maybe the satellites are positioned more favourably today?
I'm currently at home with a flu but as soon as I feel better I'll give it a run...

Thanks :)

Basically Run.GPS should get the same information as TomTom does. If you start TomTom while Run.GPS has a GPS dilution of 50.0, will TomTom come up with a GPS fix? Did you try it in different weather conditions / in open space?

Btw ... if you start Run.GPS, then at the same time TomTom, and then quit TomTom - Run.GPS will loose the GPS connection (dilution goes to 50.0). Maybe it's that problem? Solution: restart Run.GPS gps connection.

I just downloaded the trial (v 2.2.6) and installed on my HTC Trinity (Windows Mobile 5 - Swedish ROM version: 1.23.413.2) but I can't get a GPS fix.
The "Windows managed" setting seems to almost work - the display says GPS Dilution 50.0, the satellite count varies and sometimes I get what looks like a fix on single satellites (occasional green bars below the globe) but no fix.
I've also tried the recommended manual setting of com9/4800 but that seems to work even worse - GPS Dilution 0.0 and a static 8 sats buts no dots on the globe and no green bars)
It works perfectly (and always has) with TomTom.

I would very much appreciate input on how I can resolve this.
