Hi all.

I have looked into this during this weekend and have now created a first basic version of a Run.GPS Facebook "application".
This first version is limited in functionality and can not upload a training automaticly, but we´ve got to start somewhere.

All i´ve done is to use the Facebook javascript API to create a app that can send a training to a users Facebook wall when you press a button.
The reason for this limited functionality is that this is as far as i can go without help from the developers on Run.GPS.

Now, since i don´t have access to the real Run.GPS server, I cannot implement even this limited version, but i will provide the code to the developers to implement if they want to.

You can see a "preview" on my development site:
http://leuhusen.net/facebook/rungps.html

Click on the "Connect" button to login and connect your Facebook account with the Run.GPS app.
You should now see your Facebook name on the page.

Copy and insert links to the training you want to share on Facebook in each field on the page (you can see my examples).
When ready, click the "Share to Facebook"-button to see a preview of the wall post as it will appear on Facebook.
Click "Publish" to post to the Facebook wall (or "skip" to cancel).

Look on your Facebook wall to see the post.

Since this is all Javascript, you can look at the code to see how it´s done.
The fields should be fairly easy for the developers to implement (if wanted).

I'm happy to give it a go. I have a project I need to get out of the way which should be completed within the next week, certainly 2, and then I will give it a bash. Had a quick look at the WIKI and it doesnt look too bad... famous last words! I will keep you posted.

No, unfortunately not, nobody came to us yet and agreed to join us in creating a simple Facebook plugin...

Is there anybody who knows a bit about Facebook plugins and JSP programming?

It's no problem to get the data out of the system.

Let's create a page named www.gps-sport.net/facebookPlugin.jsp?userName=admin

You'll have all the parameters you need:

double lat;
double lng;
double distanceM;
int durationSec;
String sport;

And you'll be able to put those in the page using the well-known syntax <%=sport%> and so on.

If anybody is interested in doing this, I'll provide the "raw" JSP page for it.
